Why this role?
This role is established to build a professional supplier quality management system for CMO business, upgrading quality control from end-product inspection to preventive action and in-process control. The role will build a supplier quality management system from the ground up, including audit processes, quality standards, and daily monitoring mechanisms, ensuring that contract manufacturers consistently deliver products that meet IGM requirements.

Reports to: Manager, CMO - APAC
Key interfaces: Procurement, Quality, Technical, R&D, Sales, Regulations
Direct reports: No direct reports
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a robust Supplier Quality Management system, including policies, procedures, and metrics.
Work directly with suppliers to prevent defects, drive continuous improvement, and ensure that all supplied materials, components, and services meet technical and quality specifications.
Establish and monitor KPIs for supplier quality, such as PPM (Parts Per Million), On-Time Delivery, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
Manage supplier qualification and approval processes, with emphasis on Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) partners.
Develop and execute oversight strategies for CMO partners, including on-site quality engineering, quality gateways, and shared quality metrics dashboards.
Review and approve quality agreements with suppliers and CMOs.
Plan and conduct supplier audits, both on-site and remote.
Drive CAPA processes to address non-conformances and quality issues.
Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers on quality principles.
Partner with CMOs during prototyping and pilot production phases to identify and mitigate quality risks.
Serve as the primary contact for supplier-related quality issues and lead root cause analysis for failures originating from CMO sites.
What We Are Looking For
Bachelor's degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical, Polymer Science, or related disciplines.
7+ years of experience in the manufacturing or chemical industry, including at least 2 years in supplier quality management.
Additional process or technical experience is preferred.
Familiarity with ISO 9001.
Proficiency in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and 8D problem-solving methodologies.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with process and R&D teams.
Development & Exposure
This role provides end-to-end supplier quality management coverage, working with domestic and overseas suppliers across the supply chain from raw materials to finished products. It offers the opportunity to contribute to building a supplier quality management system from the ground up and to develop independent decision-making skills while progressing toward becoming a well-rounded quality professional.
